Axiom GB wanted to make a donation towards this wonderful charity in honour of Amanda Cockle. Today Andrew and Matthew Nickson, owners of Axiom GB, along with Robert Cockle, Amanda’s husband, gave Paula the centre manager a cheque for £2,000
Tamworth Wellbeing Cancer Support Centre is a registered charity helping to support people affected by all cancers and other chronic illnesses. The current TWCSC premises at Stonydelph Arch, Craven, was opened in June 2014 to provide a welcoming, friendly place for anyone needing support or information about living with, or after a diagnosis of cancer or any other chronic illness.
A dedicated team of volunteers, led by the Centre Manager Paula, work hard to help bridge between clinical and home environments.
There was a natural progression to supporting clients with other illnesses and promoting Wellbeing, as a form of prevention and enhancing life’s experience. The Centre’s doors are open to everyone, whether it be yourself, a friend or a relative that is affected by illness.
Living with chronic illness can feel like a very lonely time. Nobody should have to feel this and so this is the very reason this charity exists. They offer alternative therapies, healthy eating advice, wig fitting facilities and bra fitting services.
